Who we are

Porthys is a brand owned by José Paulo Pinto Durão, used and managed by the company José Paulo Pinto Durão, Unipessoal Lda., with registered office at R. Dr. Ferreira Alves, 671, 4405-936 Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, registered at the Commercial Registry of Vila Nova de Gaia under the single registration and legal person number 514582340, with share capital of €2,500. Porthys sells and fits tyres as a fully mobile service: we have no workshop open to the public. Our van travels to wherever you ask — your home, your workplace or anywhere else — and the work is done there.

By using this site, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.

What this site is

This site is a catalogue: it is for consulting tyres, sizes, characteristics, EU energy labels, prices and availability.

It is not a shop. There is no shopping basket and no online payment, and no order is placed here. The service is always booked by telephone, and that is when the specific conditions — final price, timing and place — are confirmed with you.

Prices and availability

• Prices are per unit, for whichever quantity is selected, and include VAT and the Ecovalor levy.
• They do not include the fitting service or the travel to you, which are quoted separately.
• The availability shown reflects the last update received from our suppliers and may change in the meantime.
• A price shown on the site is an invitation to contact us, not a binding contractual offer. It becomes firm when we confirm the booking with you.

We work to keep these figures accurate. If a price is manifestly wrong, we will tell you before going ahead with the service.

Acceptable use

In using this site, you undertake not to:

• extract the catalogue automatically or in bulk, nor reproduce it in whole or in substantial part;
• attempt to reach restricted areas, circumvent security measures or disrupt the operation of the service;
• use the site for unlawful purposes or purposes harmful to others.

Intellectual property

The site, its structure, its text and the arrangement of the catalogue belong to Porthys.

The brands, logos, designations and images of tyre manufacturers belong to their respective proprietors and are used here only to identify the products shown. Nothing on this site is to be understood as granting any right over those marks.

Accuracy and availability

The technical characteristics — sizes, load and speed indices, EU energy label values, homologations — are supplied by manufacturers and suppliers. We reproduce them with the greatest care, but they may contain errors or be out of date; if in doubt, confirm with us before deciding.

The site may be unavailable for maintenance or for technical reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Liability

We are liable for damage we cause wilfully or negligently, under the general law.

We accept no liability for unavailability of the service, for errors in technical information supplied to us by third parties, or for decisions taken on the basis of the site alone without confirming with us.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not permit to be excluded or limited, in particular towards consumers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. As a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your domicile and to the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

These terms may be updated. The date of the last change is the one shown at the top of this page. The version in force at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

Language

This page is an English translation of the Portuguese original. If the two differ, the Portuguese version governs.
