What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device in order to remember something between pages or between visits. Below is the complete list of what this site stores — there is nothing else.
What this site stores
| Name | Type | What it is for | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
Lang |
First-party cookie | Stores the language you chose | 1 year |
Theme |
First-party cookie | Stores whether you prefer the light theme, the dark one or the system's | 1 year |
PriceUnits |
First-party cookie | Stores the quantity you want prices shown for | 1 year |
Analytics |
First-party cookie | Records that you asked not to be included in the site's statistics. It exists only if you ask | 1 year |
porthys:has-session |
Local storage | Marks that a session is open. For our team only — there are no accounts for visitors | Until you sign out |
cf_clearance |
Cloudflare cookie | Records that your browser passed a security check, so it is not repeated | 1 year |
The first four are created only when the visitor asks for them — the first three through the controls in the site's menu, the fourth by turning the measurement off at the foot of the Privacy Policy. Without those actions, the site works with its default values and stores nothing.
What this site does not store
- Advertising, tracking or profiling cookies.
- Audience-measurement cookies: the site is measured, but the measurement uses no cookies and stores nothing at all on your device — see the Privacy Policy.
- Third-party cookies for marketing purposes.
- Cross-site tracking, or the combining of your equipment's characteristics to identify it (fingerprinting).
None of these exist on this site. You can confirm it in your browser's developer tools.
Third parties
The site is delivered and protected by Cloudflare, which therefore processes the connection and may create the security cookie listed above. It is the only third party that stores anything on your device: the site's statistics are produced by a system of our own, on our own servers. What Cloudflare handles, and on what basis, is described in the Privacy Policy.
How to control it
- On the site: the settings menu, at the top right, sets the language, the theme and the quantity prices are shown for. Those choices are what the cookies store.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you do, the site still works — it simply stops remembering your preferences.
